Kent TOPSoccer
Declared the "game for all kids" by US Youth Soccer, Washington Youth Soccer is a proud supporter of this very special program.

TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program of Soccer) is a community-based training and team-placement program for young athletes with disabilities, organized and administrated by local club and Association volunteers under the direction of Washington Youth Soccer and US Youth Soccer. The program is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any boy or girl, ages 4 and up, with a disability of any kind. Our goal is to enable the thousands of young athletes with disabilities to become valued and successful members of the US Youth Soccer family.

2011 Fall Kent TOPSoccer Season

Dates/Location: Games will be played on Saturdays 9/17 through 11/5 (with a bye week on 10/22), times from 2:00pm-3:00pm at Meridian Middle School Gym

General:

For any player who is unable to play on a typical recreational team due to any type of disability. Ages 4 years and up are welcome. We are currently forming teams, based on similar skill, talent and ability rather than age level. Each team will have one or two volunteer coaches and also mentor/volunteers who assist individual players as needed.

Cost:

$30 for the season, which includes team jersey and end of the season trophy.

Register:

Through Korrio at https://korrio.com/groups/kent-topsoccer/, (Kent TOPSoccer). Contact Nicole Jensen at moddirector@kysa.org for player placement and information.

Buddies:

A TOPSoccer Buddy is a volunteer over the age of 12 that serves as a partner, mentor and friend to our special athletes as they take the field. He or she can be a same-aged peer, a sibling or an adult. Buddies need no soccer experience, just a desire to help and have fun!

Coaches and Volunteers:

All coaches and organizers are volunteers; we are currently looking for coaches and buddies from the community ranging from late elementary through adult. If interested in coaching or being a buddy, please contact Nicole Jensen at moddirector@kysa.org
TOPSoccer Mission Statement
TOPSoccer was formed to perpetuate the US YOUTH SOCCER mission statement which is, in part, "to foster the physical, mental and emotional growth and development of America's youth through the sport of soccer at all levels of age and competition." There are thousands of children with disabilities who need, and can be provided with, the opportunity to play soccer through the TOPSoccer program.
